Job Description
The Opportunity
As an HR Apprentice, you will work closely with an experience HR team to support the delivery of an efficient and high-quality HR service across our schools.
You will gain exposure to a wide range of HR activities, including:
- Supporting recruitment processes, from advertising roles to coordinating interviews
- Assisting with employee administration, including starters, leavers and contractual changes
- Maintaining accurate HR systems and employee records
- Preparing HR documentation and correspondence
- Providing general administrative support to the HR team
You will also complete a Level 3 HR apprenticeship qualification, with dedicated time to study and develop your knowledge alongside your day-to-day work.
What You’ll Get
- Salary: £8 per hour for the first 12 months followed by national minimum wage for age

What You’ll Do
- Recruitment Support
- Assist with the coordination of recruitment and selection activities, including:
- Posting job advertisements
- Preparing application packs
- Supporting the scheduling of interviews and booking venues
- Sending routine correspondence (e.g. interview invitations)
- Liaise with candidates and managers, providing a professional point of contact
What we are looking for:
- Someone who is keen to learn and develop a career in HR
- Organised, with good attention to detail
- A strong communicator, both written and verbal
- Reliable, professional and able to handle confidential information
- Comfortable using IT systems such as Microsoft Office
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
No previous HR experience is required - we’re looking for potential, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
Working Hours: 37 Hours per week - Year round, Temporary contract for 21 months
