HSE Advisor - Oil & Gas Sector

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and proactive HSE Advisor to support their operations in Bristol, South West England, UK . This role is integral to ensuring a safe and healthy working environment across all Oil & Gas activities, promoting a robust safety culture and compliance with regulatory requirements. You will conduct site inspections, deliver training, and investigate incidents to prevent recurrence. The ideal candidate will be passionate about safety and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures tailored to the Oil & Gas industry.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and non-compliance.
• Deliver HSE training and toolbox talks to site personnel.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, preparing detailed reports and recommendations.
• Monitor HSE performance metrics and contribute to improvement initiatives.
• Advise management on HSE best practices and legislative requirements.

Requirements

• Relevant HSE qualification (e.g., NEBOSH National General Certificate or Diploma).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably within the Oil & Gas or heavy industry sectors.
• Knowledge of relevant UK HSE legislation and best practices.
• Experience in risk assessment and hazard identification.
• Strong communication, influencing, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a site team.
