HSE Advisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated HSE Advisor to join their team in Leeds . This crucial role involves ensuring the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental performance across all company operations. You will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies and procedures, conducting site inspections, and fostering a proactive safety culture. Working closely with operational teams and management, you will play a key part in risk mitigation and regulatory compliance. This position requires a hands-on approach and a strong commitment to workplace safety in the Leeds area and surrounding operational sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Deliver HSE training and toolbox talks to operational staff and contractors.
• Advise management on HSE legislation, best practices, and risk management strategies.
• Promote a positive safety culture throughout the organization.

Requirements

• Relevant professional qualification in Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH National General Certificate or Diploma).
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in an HSE role, preferably within the oil and gas or related industry.
• In-depth knowledge of UK HSE legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment techniques and hazard identification.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively on-site and engage with operational personnel.
