About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and proactive HSE Advisor to support their operations, working entirely remotely. This role is dedicated to ensuring that all company activities adhere to the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental protection. You will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a robust safety culture across the organization. This is a vital position that requires excellent communication and analytical skills, enabling you to provide expert guidance and support to teams wherever they are located, ensuring consistent application of HSE best practices throughout the business, fostering a safe and sustainable working environment for all employees and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and management systems.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company standards.
- Perform risk assessments and develop control measures to mitigate identified hazards.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, determining root causes and recommending preventative actions.
- Deliver HSE training and awareness programs to employees and contractors.
- Advise management on all aspects of health, safety, and environmental performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HSE professional, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
- Recognized HSE qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
- Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
