About the Role
Our client seeks a proactive and experienced HSE Advisor to support their operations in Southampton . This vital role ensures that all activities within the oil and gas sector meet stringent Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a strong safety culture across the workforce. This position requires a dedicated individual committed to maintaining the highest levels of operational safety and environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management systems .
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Deliver HSE training programs to employees and contractors.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on HSE performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HSE professional , ideally within the oil and gas or energy sector.
- Possession of relevant HSE qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
- Thorough understanding of UK HSE legislation and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
