About the Role
Our client is recruiting a proactive HSE Advisor to join their operations team in Plymouth . This role is critical for promoting and ensuring a strong health, safety, and environmental culture across all business activities, particularly within the demanding oil and gas sector . You will conduct site inspections, develop safety procedures, deliver training, and advise management on compliance and risk mitigation strategies. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation and best practices.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify potential hazards and ensure safe working conditions.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, producing detailed reports and recommending preventative actions.
- Deliver HSE training programs to employees at all levels.
- Advise management on all aspects of health, safety, and environmental performance and risk management.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH National General Certificate).
- Proven experience as an HSE Advisor , preferably within an industrial or energy-related field.
- Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and management systems.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct training and engage effectively with diverse workforces.
