About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated HSE Manager to lead their health, safety, and environmental initiatives within a fully remote operational structure. This senior role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive HSE policies and programs across the organization's diverse projects. You will champion a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry best practices in the Oil & Gas sector . This position offers a unique opportunity to shape HSE strategy and drive best practices from anywhere, working closely with operational teams in a dynamic, remote-first environment .
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and standards.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs to employees at all levels.
- Manage environmental permits and ensure compliance with environmental legislation.
- Advise management on HSE risks and recommend strategies for mitigation.
- Foster a strong safety culture through engagement and proactive communication across a remote workforce .
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders on HSE matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HSE management, with a significant portion in the Oil & Gas industry .
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or CSP are highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of HSE legislation, standards, and best practices.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective HSE strategies in a remote operational context .
- Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
- Experience managing HSE programs for geographically dispersed or remote teams .
