About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and meticulous HSE Officer to join their remote operations team. This position is pivotal in ensuring that all company activities across various jurisdictions adhere to the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance. Working remotely, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organization. This role is ideal for a proactive professional committed to maintaining a safe and sustainable working environment, even from a distance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management systems.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential hazards.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, providing detailed reports and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international HSE legislation and industry standards.
- Deliver HSE training and awareness programs to employees and contractors.
- Monitor environmental performance and promote sustainable practices within the company's operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HSE Officer or in a similar role within the oil and gas sector .
- Proficiency in risk assessment techniques and incident investigation methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills for effective remote engagement.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are highly desirable.
