HSEQ Advisor

HSEQ Advisor Location: North East Salary: £45,000–£55,000 + uplift for night work Job Type: Full-time

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join an established contractor in the north east.

This is an office-based role with regular travel to site, with the position split approximately 50/50 between day and night shift work. Night shifts will attract an uplift in pay.

The role would suit an HSEQ professional with a general construction background. Civils or Highways experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

Key Responsibilities

Provide HSEQ support and guidance across the business and sites

Carry out site inspections, audits and investigations

*

Support risk assessments, method statements and HSEQ documentation

*

Monitor compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation

*

Work closely with site and operational teams to maintain high standards

*

Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions

*

Promote a positive health and safety culture

*

Support continuous improvement across HSEQ processes

The Ideal Candidate:

*

Previous experience in an HSEQ/H&S Advisor role

*

Construction experience essential

*

NEBOSH or relevant H&S qualification

*

Good understanding of UK health & safety legislation

*

Confident carrying out site inspections and working with operational teams

*

Comfortable travelling to sites and working occasional night shifts

*

Civils experience advantageous

£45,000–£55,000 + night shift uplift
