About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled and experienced HVAC Engineer to join their facilities management team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is vital for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across their sites. You will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, conducting planned maintenance, and contributing to the energy efficiency of the facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified engineer to contribute to the smooth running of operations in the Staffordshire region's energy and building services sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including boilers, chillers, air handling units, and control systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and performance testing of HVAC equipment to identify potential issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electrical problems related to HVAC systems.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant building regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental legislation.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, service reports, and inventory of spare parts.
Requirements
- Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as an HVAC Engineer, with a strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, thermodynamics, and control systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., F-Gas, Gas Safe) are highly desirable.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities, with good communication skills for working in Stoke-on-Trent .
