HVAC Installation Technician

About the Role

Our client seeks a competent HVAC Installation Technician to join their team, primarily operating within Reading and the surrounding areas. This role is essential for ensuring the correct installation and commissioning of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for both residential and commercial clients. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality installations that meet all technical and regulatory standards, ensuring client comfort and satisfaction. This is a hands-on role requiring technical expertise and a dedication to excellence in service delivery throughout Berkshire .

Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission HVAC systems, including boilers, air conditioning units, and ventilation systems.
• Read and interpret HVAC system designs, blueprints, and schematics.
• Perform pressure testing, leak detection, and system balancing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any installation or commissioning issues that arise.
• Ensure all installations comply with current building regulations and safety standards.
• Provide basic handover and operational guidance to clients upon project completion.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HVAC Installation Technician or similar role.
• Relevant NVQ or equivalent qualification in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or Heating and Ventilation.
• F-Gas certification is required.
• Strong understanding of HVAC principles and system components.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in Reading .
• A full UK driving licence is necessary for site travel.
