About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled HVAC Mechanical Engineer to join their building services team in Southampton . This role involves the design, specification, and project management of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for a range of commercial and industrial projects. You will be instrumental in ensuring optimal building performance, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort. Key Responsibilities

• Design and engineer complex HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
• Produce detailed design calculations, schematics, and specifications for HVAC equipment and installations.
• Utilize BIM and CAD software for design development and coordination with other disciplines.
• Conduct energy modeling and analysis to optimize system performance and reduce environmental impact.
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
• Perform site inspections and commissioning of installed HVAC systems.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer with a specialization in HVAC design.
• Proficiency in relevant HVAC design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Hevacomp).
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and building physics.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
