About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated HVAC Mechanical Engineer to join their building services team in Edinburgh . This role is central to designing, implementing, and managing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for a variety of projects. You will ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with building regulations, working closely with architects and construction teams. This position offers a chance to apply your specialized knowledge in a role that directly impacts building comfort and sustainability, contributing to significant construction and renovation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
- Perform load calculations, system sizing, and equipment selection for HVAC components.
- Develop detailed HVAC system drawings, specifications, and schematics.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems on project sites.
- Conduct energy efficiency assessments and recommend improvements.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification in Building Services Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in HVAC design and project engineering.
- Proficiency with HVAC design software and load calculation tools.
- Knowledge of building codes, energy standards, and sustainability practices.
- Experience with on-site project supervision and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work collaboratively.
