HVAC Project Manager
Location: Kent | Hybrid Working Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 + Benefits
About the Company
Our client is a well-established, family-run building services contractor that has been successfully operating for over 30 years. Based in Kent, they deliver HVAC, ventilation, plumbing, heating, controls and electrical projects across London and the Southeast.
The business has built an excellent reputation within the commercial and high-end residential sectors, delivering projects ranging from small-scale air conditioning installations valued at £3,000 - £4,000 through to major developments worth over £2 million. Their client portfolio includes hotels, high-end residential properties, schools and churches.
The Opportunity
Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an HVAC Project Manager to join their expanding team.
This role will predominantly focus on air conditioning and ventilation projects, ranging from small split system installations through to £600,000 VRV/VRF projects. The successful candidate will take ownership of projects from initial survey stage through to completion, allowing senior management to focus on larger-scale contracts.
The company is open to considering candidates at varying levels of experience, whether you're an experienced Project Manager looking for a new challenge or an Engineer/Supervisor looking to take the next step into project management.
Key Responsibilities
Managing HVAC projects from survey through to completion
Conducting site surveys and assessing project requirements
Liaising directly with clients and stakeholders throughout projects
Identifying and resolving potential project issues before works commence
Coordinating engineers, subcontractors and suppliers
Managing project programmes, costs and delivery schedules
Ensuring projects are delivered safely on time and within budget
Attending site meetings and client meetings as required
Overseeing predominantly air conditioning and ventilation projects ranging from £3,000 to £600,000 in value
Candidate Requirements
Technical background within HVAC building services
Strong experience in air conditioning and ventilation systems
Previous project management experience preferred, although candidates looking to step up into a Project Manager role will also be considered
Good client-facing and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience with VRV/VRF systems would be advantageous
Working Arrangements
This is a hybrid position, offering a combination of:
Home working
Site-based working across London and Kent
Office-based working
The ideal candidate will be based within Kent with good access to Central London.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 (depending on experience)
40-hour working week (9:00am - 5:00pm)
Hybrid working
Mileage reimbursement for business travel using your own vehicle
Public transport expenses paid for London project travel
20 days annual leave plus bank holidays
