Hydraulic Engineer / Technician
Location: Leicester
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

The Opportunity
We are working with a specialist engineering business based in Leicester, looking for a Hydraulic Engineer / Technician to join their team.
This is a hands-on role focused on the build, testing, commissioning, servicing and fault finding of hydraulic systems and equipment . The ideal candidate will have practical hydraulic experience and be confident reading hydraulic schematics.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and assemble hydraulic systems and equipment.
- Read and interpret hydraulic schematics.
- Test and commission hydraulic systems.
- Service and maintain hydraulic equipment.
- Carry out fault finding and diagnostics.
- Calibrate and adjust hydraulic systems.
- Install and replace hydraulic components including pumps, valves, cylinders and hoses.
- Carry out pressure and performance testing.
- Support repairs, modifications and system upgrades.
- Complete work to a high standard and follow health & safety procedures.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working with hydraulic systems .
- Ability to read and understand hydraulic schematics .
- Hands-on experience building, testing or commissioning hydraulic equipment.
- Experience carrying out servicing, maintenance and fault finding.
- Good mechanical and practical engineering skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
