Job Type: Permanent Start Date: Immediate Industry: Marine / Hydraulic Engineering Location: Paignton, Devon Salary & Package: £40,000+ Basic DOE | OTE £60,000–£70,000 | Door-to-Door Travel Pay | Unlimited Overtime at T1/3
The Role & About the Client
ITS Building People are currently recruiting for an experienced Hydraulic Engineer to join a well-established specialist providing hydraulic services within the maritime sector. This is a varied role combining workshop-based work with mobile engineering, working on hydraulic systems and equipment used across the marine industry. The successful candidate will work within a small, established engineering team and will have the opportunity to earn significantly through overtime. Candidates from a heavy construction plant background with strong hydraulic experience would be well suited to this position.
Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Hydraulic strip-down and repair Hydraulic system builds Testing and commissioning hydraulic systems Working on hydraulic equipment and systems on marine vessels Diagnosing hydraulic faults and carrying out repairs Workshop-based engineering and mobile servicing Travelling within approximately a 60-mile radius of Paignton Carrying out maintenance and repairs to a high standard Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently Requirements:
Minimum 2 years' relevant hydraulic engineering experience Strong hydraulic fault-finding and repair experience Heavy plant/construction plant background would be highly desirable Experience with hydraulic systems and equipment Comfortable working both in a workshop and on-site Full UK driving licence Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm Equal Opportunities ITS Building People are an equal opportunities employer.
