About the Role

Our client requires a meticulous Hygiene Operative for their food production facility in Belfast . This role is critical in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation to ensure food safety and quality compliance. You will be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting production equipment, work surfaces, and the overall facility environment. This position requires a strong understanding of food hygiene regulations and a commitment to upholding rigorous standards in a fast-paced production setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all food processing equipment, utensils, and machinery according to strict hygiene protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness of production floors, walls, and ceilings, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
• Perform chemical cleaning and disinfection procedures using appropriate agents and equipment.
• Monitor and record cleaning activities, reporting any deviations or issues to the hygiene supervisor.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations, including HACCP principles.
• Handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a hygiene or cleaning role within the food industry is highly desirable.
• Good understanding of food safety legislation and HACCP principles.
• Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and machinery safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining impeccable hygiene standards.
• Physical capability to perform the duties required, often in temperature-controlled environments.
