Independent Domestic Violence Advocate ( IDVA )
Location: Warwickshire Salary: £15.50 - £19 pounds an hour (dependent on pay status and experience.) Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 4:30pm Contract: Temporary, minimum 3 months Working Pattern: Hybrid - up to 2 days working from home
Supporting Futures are recruiting for an experienced IDVA to join a specialist domestic abuse service in Warwickshire.
The role involves managing a caseload of approximately 30, predominantly high-risk survivors, providing specialist domestic abuse support, risk assessment, safety planning, advocacy and safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a complex caseload of approximately 30 clients. Complete risk and needs assessments and safety planning. Provide specialist advocacy and support. Work closely with Police, Housing, Children's Services and other partner agencies. Attend and contribute to MARAC meetings. Support clients with court proceedings where required. Maintain regular contact with clients, including at least fortnightly engagement.
Essential Requirements:
Previous experience as an IDVA or Domestic Abuse Practitioner. Experience managing a busy and complex caseload. Strong understanding of domestic abuse, risk and safeguarding. Excellent communication, organisation and prioritisation skills. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or issued within the last 12 months. Able to work independently and as part of a multi-agency teamSupporting Futures Consulting acts as both an employer and an agency.
