Overview
A leading bioanalytical lab is seeking an immunoassay scientist with expertise in running and developing ligand-binding assays to support client GLP / GCP Bioanalytical studies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and transfer ligand binding assays with support from trained staff.
- Communicate project updates and address client queries.
- Collaborate with Study Directors and operational teams to meet project timelines.
- Ensure seamless transition of methods into validation with internal teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve assay-related technical challenges.
- Draft and review Analytical Laboratory Methods (ALMs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements during assay development.
Qualifications
- Degree in a relevant scientific field.
- 1+ year of industry experience in ligand binding assay development.
- Strong scientific problem-solving and data interpretation skills.
- Proven ability to explain complex concepts to clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Effective task prioritisation and multi-responsibility management.
- Proactive, independent, and reliable work ethic.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Design and execute method development and transfer experiments.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet milestones.
- Troubleshoot assay development challenges.
- Prepare and review relevant documentation.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss progress and resolve obstacles.
- Stay updated on and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
