In-House Commercial Lawyer

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic and growing business in Bradford , is looking for a skilled In-House Commercial Lawyer to join their legal department. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide pragmatic legal advice across a broad spectrum of commercial activities, supporting the company's strategic objectives and operational needs. You will be embedded within the business, working closely with various departments to mitigate risk and ensure compliance. The role offers significant exposure to diverse legal challenges and the chance to contribute directly to the company's success.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including supply agreements, service contracts, and NDAs.
• Advise on intellectual property matters, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage commercial disputes and litigation, liaising with external counsel as required.
• Support business development teams with legal input on new ventures and partnerships.
• Develop and implement internal legal policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practice.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor or barrister in England and Wales.
• A minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience, preferably with a strong background in commercial law , either in private practice or in-house.
• Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Ability to provide clear, commercially-focused legal advice.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage a varied workload effectively.
