In-House Corporate Counsel

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and proactive In-House Corporate Counsel to join their thriving business in Coventry . This role offers the chance to be the primary legal advisor for a dynamic organization, overseeing a broad spectrum of corporate legal matters. You will play a critical role in supporting the company's strategic objectives, ensuring legal compliance, and managing risk across all operations. Key Responsibilities

• Advise on corporate structuring, mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
• Manage the company's legal compliance framework, including data protection and regulatory adherence.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, leases, and other legal documents.
• Oversee dispute resolution and litigation, managing external legal advisors effectively.
• Develop and implement internal policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks.
• Support the board of directors and senior management on corporate governance matters.

Requirements

• Solicitor or Barrister qualified to practice in England and Wales with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong background in corporate law , M&A, and commercial contract negotiation.
• Excellent understanding of company law, compliance, and risk management principles.
• Ability to provide clear, concise, and practical legal advice to non-legal stakeholders.
• High level of professional integrity and attention to detail.
• Experience working within a commercial in-house legal team is highly desirable.
