About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated In-House Counsel specializing in commercial contracts to join their fully remote legal department. This position is critical for supporting the company's commercial operations by providing expert legal guidance on a global scale. You will be instrumental in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a diverse array of contracts, ensuring that the company's interests are protected while facilitating business growth. Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including service agreements, NDAs, and supply contracts.
- Provide timely and practical legal advice to business stakeholders on contract interpretation and risk management.
- Ensure all contracts comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of standard contract templates and legal processes.
- Support the legal team on various projects and initiatives, including data privacy and intellectual property matters.
- Manage and resolve legal disputes related to contractual obligations effectively.
Requirements
- A qualified lawyer with at least 4 years of experience, preferably in commercial contract law.
- Demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
- Familiarity with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) and intellectual property law.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly to non-legal audiences.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills, capable of managing a remote workload effectively and independently.
- Proficiency in using legal tech tools and collaboration platforms is essential.
