In-House Counsel (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified and proactive In-House Counsel to join their dynamic legal department on a fully remote basis. This role is crucial for providing expert legal advice and support to various business units, mitigating legal risks, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. You will play a key part in drafting and negotiating contracts, managing litigation, and advising on corporate governance matters. Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice and guidance on a wide range of commercial and corporate matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including service agreements, NDAs, and licensing agreements.
• Manage and oversee any litigation or dispute resolution matters, working with external counsel when necessary.
• Advise on regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and internal policies.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions on complex issues.
• Develop and implement legal strategies to support business objectives and minimize risk.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a current practicing certificate in the UK.
• A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with a mix of private practice and in-house experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in commercial contract law and corporate law.
• Proven ability to manage litigation and dispute resolution effectively.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
