In-House Counsel - Remote

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced In-House Counsel to join their globally distributed legal team, operating entirely remotely. This role is crucial for providing comprehensive legal support across various business units, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You will be responsible for a broad spectrum of legal matters, including contract review, intellectual property, and corporate governance, playing a vital role in the company's strategic decision-making processes from a legal perspective. Key Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including SaaS, NDAs, and partnership agreements.
• Advise on intellectual property matters, including trademark and patent filings and protection strategies.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and other relevant legal frameworks.
• Provide legal support for marketing, product development, and HR functions.
• Manage external counsel relationships and oversee litigation as required.
• Develop and implement internal legal policies and procedures for a remote workforce.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with significant experience (6+ years) in corporate or commercial law.
• Proven experience working as in-house counsel or in a law firm with a strong corporate/commercial focus.
• Expertise in contract law, IP law, and data privacy regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote collaboration.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency with legal technology and virtual collaboration tools.
