In-House Counsel

About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding international company, is seeking an experienced In-House Counsel to join their team. This is a pivotal remote role, allowing you to contribute significantly to the company's legal strategy from anywhere in the UK. You will be responsible for managing a wide array of legal issues, including commercial contracts, intellectual property, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance. This position requires a proactive and commercially astute legal professional who can provide pragmatic advice and drive legal excellence within a fast-paced, global business environment. You will collaborate closely with various departments, offering strategic guidance and ensuring the company operates within all legal and ethical boundaries.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex international commercial agreements and partnerships.
• Advise on intellectual property matters, including trademarks, patents, and licensing.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international laws and regulations.
• Manage corporate governance requirements and support board activities remotely.
• Provide legal support for mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
• Develop and implement internal legal policies and training programs for employees.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• Strong background in international commercial law and corporate law.
• Experience working as in-house counsel or in a leading law firm’s corporate/commercial department.
• Excellent negotiation and drafting skills, with a commercial mindset.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote setting.
• Sound judgment and high ethical standards.
