In-House Counsel

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and adaptable In-House Counsel to support their growing business operations. Based in Coventry , this role involves providing essential legal support across various departments, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation. You will play a vital role in safeguarding the company's interests by managing contracts, advising on employment law, and contributing to dispute resolution. This hybrid position offers a balanced approach, combining the benefits of remote work with crucial in-office collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, service contracts, and NDAs.
• Provide legal advice and support on employment law matters, including drafting policies and managing employee relations issues.
• Assist in the management of intellectual property portfolios, including trademarks and copyrights.
• Conduct legal research and provide clear, concise advice on compliance and regulatory issues affecting the business.
• Support the resolution of legal disputes and claims through negotiation and, if necessary, litigation support.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor or barrister with at least 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
• Strong understanding of commercial contract law and employment law .
• Experience in providing practical, business-focused legal advice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with non-legal stakeholders.
• Familiarity with working in a dynamic, fast-paced in-house legal environment .
