About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced In-House Legal Advisor to join their remote-first legal team, servicing operations nationwide. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in providing essential legal support and strategic advice to various departments, focusing on commercial contracts, data protection, and compliance. You will work autonomously, managing your own caseload and collaborating digitally with colleagues and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including terms and conditions, service level agreements, and partnership contracts.
- Advise on data privacy regulations (GDPR) and ensure the company's compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct legal research and provide timely, accurate advice on diverse legal matters impacting the business.
- Manage and resolve legal disputes and claims, liaising with external counsel when necessary.
- Develop and maintain internal legal documentation, policies, and compliance training materials for staff.
Requirements
- Admitted to practice law in the UK (Solicitor, Barrister, or equivalent) with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of commercial law, contract drafting, and data protection legislation.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a virtual team setting.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience working remotely or in an in-house legal counsel capacity is highly advantageous.
