About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced In-House Solicitor with a strong background in Commercial and Regulatory law to join their team in Nottingham . This role is crucial for providing comprehensive legal support to the business, focusing on commercial contracts, compliance, and navigating regulatory landscapes relevant to the industry. You will advise on day-to-day legal operations, manage risk, and ensure the company adheres to all legal and regulatory obligations. This position offers a broad scope of work and the chance to be a key legal advisor within a forward-thinking organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including sales agreements, supplier contracts, and partnership agreements.
- Advise on compliance with relevant industry regulations and legislation.
- Support business units by providing timely and pragmatic legal advice on commercial matters.
- Assist in developing and implementing company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
- Manage legal risk across the organisation and advise on mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with external counsel on specialised legal matters as required.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience, ideally with experience in commercial law and regulatory compliance.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills for commercial contracts.
- Good understanding of UK regulatory frameworks relevant to the industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to advise stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Experience in an in-house role or advising corporate clients is highly valued.
