About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and proactive In-House Solicitor to bolster their legal team based in Newcastle upon Tyne . Key Responsibilities

• Advise on a broad spectrum of legal issues affecting the business, including contracts, employment law, and intellectual property.
• Draft, review, and amend contracts, policies, and other legal documents to protect the company's interests.
• Manage litigation and dispute resolution matters, working with external counsel where necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements applicable to the company's operations.
• Provide legal support for projects, including commercial transactions and business development initiatives.
• Develop and deliver legal training to non-legal staff on relevant topics.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience.
• Strong background in commercial law and general corporate practice.
• Demonstrated ability to provide practical and commercially astute legal advice.
• Experience in managing a varied caseload and prioritizing effectively.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with data protection regulations and employment law is advantageous.
