Location: London Hybrid (2 Days Office-Based) £115,000 + 20% Bonus

A leading FTSE 100 international bank, with operations spanning over 50 markets across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and beyond, is seeking an experienced Indirect Tax professional to head its UK and EMEA function. Reporting directly to the Group Head of Tax, this role offers significant strategic influence and visibility across the organisation.

The Opportunity

This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for shaping the bank’s indirect tax agenda across multiple jurisdictions. You’ll act as the principal advisor on all UK and EMEA indirect tax matters, driving both technical excellence and commercial impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all indirect tax advisory activity across the UK and EMEA
• Act as the primary subject matter expert for internal stakeholders
• Manage and mentor a direct report within the tax team
• Oversee the external provider responsible for indirect tax compliance
• Collaborate with tax, finance, and legal teams to ensure compliance with VAT/GST legislation
• Drive enhancements in systems, processes, and governance related to indirect tax
