About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Industrial Automation Engineer to join their established manufacturing facility in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, UK . This pivotal role involves the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated systems that are critical to our production efficiency and quality standards. You will work closely with the engineering and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and optimize existing automated processes. Key Responsibilities
- Design, program, and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for various manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation system malfunctions to minimize production downtime.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for automated machinery.
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers on the integration of new automation solutions.
- Stay current with emerging automation technologies and recommend upgrades or new systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering , or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems.
- Proficiency with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI/SCADA software.
- Strong understanding of robotic systems, sensors, and industrial networking protocols.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities for complex automated systems.
