About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and physically fit Industrial Cleaner to join their team in Birmingham . This role is essential for maintaining a safe and clean working environment within industrial facilities, ensuring compliance with stringent health and safety regulations. You will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks in specialized environments, using appropriate equipment and chemicals. The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work, is reliable, and understands the importance of cleanliness in an industrial setting to prevent accidents and ensure operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform deep cleaning of industrial machinery, production areas, and warehouses according to strict protocols.
• Operate and maintain industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and vacuum systems.
• Handle and dispose of waste materials, including hazardous substances, in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Ensure all cleaning activities are conducted safely, adhering to health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards observed in the workplace to the supervisor immediately.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas, restrooms, and offices within the industrial site.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an industrial cleaner or in a similar physically demanding cleaning role.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and techniques.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team, often in demanding conditions.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in varied environments.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
