About the Role

Our client is looking for a reliable and diligent Industrial Cleaning Operative to support their operations in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role involves maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly working environment within industrial facilities, which may include factories, warehouses, or production plants. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with strict hygiene and safety standards, contributing directly to operational efficiency and employee well-being. We are seeking an individual who is committed to quality work, safety protocols, and understands the importance of thoroughness in an industrial setting, working predominantly on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and deep cleaning of industrial machinery , floors, and workspaces according to schedules.
• Safely handle and dispose of industrial waste, chemicals, and hazardous materials as per regulations.
• Operate specialized cleaning equipment, including pressure washers and industrial vacuums.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of storage areas and common facilities within the industrial site.
• Adhere strictly to all health and safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist with general site maintenance tasks as required by the operations manager.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an industrial cleaning or janitorial role is advantageous.
• Knowledge of safe handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and industrial waste.
• Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding environment and follow detailed instructions.
• A strong commitment to safety and adherence to company policies.
• Must be able to work shifts if required and possess basic communication skills.
