About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and reliable Industrial Cleaning Operative to join their team in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of industrial facilities, ensuring a safe and productive working environment. You will be responsible for various cleaning tasks, including the use of specialized equipment and the handling of industrial cleaning agents. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding high standards of cleanliness. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and deep cleaning tasks in industrial settings, including workshops, warehouses, and production areas.
• Operate and maintain industrial cleaning machinery, such as floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and vacuum systems.
• Handle and dispose of industrial waste and hazardous materials safely and in accordance with regulations.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and office areas within the industrial site.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety procedures, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report any maintenance issues or potential hazards observed during cleaning duties to the supervisor.

Requirements

• Previous experience in industrial or commercial cleaning is advantageous.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations, particularly COSHH guidelines.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts if required.
