About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Industrial Cleaning Specialist for their facility operations in Sunderland . This role is critical for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of industrial environments, ensuring compliance with strict health and safety regulations. You will be responsible for specialized cleaning tasks, including the use of industrial-grade equipment and chemicals to tackle demanding cleaning challenges. This is a hands-on role requiring physical fitness, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. You will be an integral part of the operations team, ensuring a productive and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform specialized cleaning tasks in industrial settings, including machinery, floors, and high-level areas.
- Operate and maintain industrial cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, floor scrubbers, and industrial vacuums.
- Handle and use industrial cleaning chemicals safely and effectively, adhering to COSHH regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify areas requiring deep cleaning or specialized attention.
- Implement and follow strict health and safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Industrial Cleaner or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in operating various types of industrial cleaning machinery.
- Strong knowledge of chemical safety, COSHH, and relevant health and safety legislation.
- Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
