About the Role

Our client requires a dedicated Industrial Cleaning Technician to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within their operational facilities in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is essential for maintaining a safe and efficient working environment, particularly in areas with specific industrial requirements. You will be responsible for operating specialized cleaning equipment and adhering to stringent safety protocols. The successful candidate will contribute to the smooth running of industrial operations by managing all aspects of cleanliness in assigned zones, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards, and supporting the overall operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate industrial cleaning machinery, such as floor scrubbers and pressure washers, safely and effectively.
• Conduct deep cleaning operations in production areas, warehouses, and high-traffic zones.
• Manage the safe handling and disposal of industrial waste and chemical residues.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on cleaning equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow detailed cleaning schedules and site-specific procedures to maintain hygiene standards.
• Identify and report any maintenance or safety issues encountered during cleaning operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in industrial or commercial cleaning, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics setting.
• Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment.
• Strong knowledge of COSHH regulations and safe chemical handling practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding environment, often in shifts.
