About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Industrial Control Systems Engineer to join their operational team in Liverpool . This role is vital for the design, implementation, and maintenance of automation and control systems that underpin our client's manufacturing processes. You will ensure the smooth, efficient, and safe operation of machinery through effective control system management. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with expertise in PLCs, SCADA, and automation to make a significant impact within a key industrial facility in Merseyside.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, program, and commission Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
• Develop and maintain SCADA systems for process monitoring and control.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues within industrial control systems and associated hardware.
• Implement system upgrades and modifications to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Ensure all control systems comply with safety standards and operational requirements.

Requirements

• Experience as an Industrial Control Systems Engineer or Automation Engineer.
• Proficiency with leading PLC brands (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and SCADA software.
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and instrumentation.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&ID diagrams.
• Willingness to work on-site in Liverpool and occasional travel to other facilities.
