Industrial Electrician - Manufacturing Plant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Industrial Electrician to join their manufacturing plant in Plymouth . This role is critical for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all electrical systems and equipment within the facility. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical machinery, control systems, and power distribution networks. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical skills, a thorough understanding of industrial electrical codes, and a commitment to safety and preventative maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in a manufacturing environment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using testing instruments and diagnostic equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and machinery to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with current BS 7671 wiring regulations and safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with maintenance teams and production staff to address electrical needs.

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician with relevant certification (e.g., City & Guilds 2330, 2365).
• Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician, preferably in a manufacturing plant setting.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, control panels, and PLCs .
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in an industrial environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
