About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Electrician to join their maintenance team in Bristol . This role is essential for ensuring the reliable operation and safety of all electrical systems and machinery within our manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment, troubleshooting complex issues, and performing preventative maintenance to minimize downtime. This is a hands-on role for a qualified electrician looking to contribute to a busy and dynamic industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, power distribution systems, and control panels for industrial machinery.
Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic equipment and repair faults in a timely manner.
Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
Respond to emergency electrical calls and perform necessary repairs to restore operations.

Requirements

Qualified Industrial Electrician with relevant certifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, City & Guilds).
Proven experience working with industrial electrical systems, including high voltage equipment, PLCs, and motor controls.
Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and regulations.
Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical documentation.
Proficient in using hand and power tools common to the electrical trade.
Good problem-solving skills and physical stamina for the demands of the role.
