Industrial Electrician

About the Role

Our client requires a skilled and certified Industrial Electrician for their busy manufacturing facility in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is essential for ensuring the reliable and safe operation of all electrical systems and machinery within the plant. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment, adhering to strict safety protocols and industry standards. The successful candidate will possess a thorough understanding of industrial electrical systems and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, and maintain electrical systems and equipment, including motors, control panels, and power distribution systems.
• Diagnose electrical faults and carry out prompt and effective repairs.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety regulations and standards (e.g., BS 7671).
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize electrical downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
• Respond to emergency electrical issues and work effectively to resolve them.

Requirements

• Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification (e.g., City & Guilds 2365).
• Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing or production environment .
• Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, and VFDs.
• Proficiency in testing and troubleshooting electrical equipment.
• Commitment to health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
