About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Industrial Electrician to join their maintenance team in Nottingham . This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and machinery within a busy manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all electrical equipment, adhering to strict safety standards and regulations. This is a hands-on role for a skilled electrician who thrives in an industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to specifications.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and diagnose faults in industrial machinery and control systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Ensure compliance with all electrical safety standards and regulations.
• Operate and maintain testing equipment to ensure accuracy and safety.

Requirements

• Qualified Industrial Electrician with relevant certifications (e.g., 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations).
• Proven experience in industrial electrical maintenance and repair.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, motor controls, and PLCs.
• Ability to read and work from electrical drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertaining to electrical work.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
