Industrial Electrician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified Industrial Electrician to join their manufacturing facility in Derby . This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within our production environment. You will ensure that all electrical systems operate safely and efficiently, supporting the continuous operation of our manufacturing processes. This is a crucial role for a skilled electrician looking to contribute to a stable and well-established industrial operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, power distribution systems, and control systems for industrial machinery.
• Diagnose electrical problems using testing devices such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Perform routine inspections of electrical equipment to prevent failures and ensure safety compliance.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations in Derby .
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff and engineers to resolve complex electrical issues.

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician with relevant certifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing or plant environment.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, controls, and safety procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical faults efficiently.
• Familiarity with PLCs and variable speed drives is a plus.
