Our client is seeking a motivated Industrial Engineer II to contribute to operational excellence at their facility in Wolverhampton . This role focuses on improving production efficiency, optimizing resource utilization, and implementing lean manufacturing principles. You will be involved in analyzing existing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and supporting the implementation of effective solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement optimized production layouts, workflows, and material handling systems.
- Conduct time studies and motion analyses to improve operator efficiency and reduce cycle times.
- Support the implementation of lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, value stream mapping, and Kanban systems.
- Collect and analyze production data to monitor performance, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field.
- 2-4 years of professional experience in industrial engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and tools.
- Proficiency in CAD software for layout design and basic data analysis using Excel.
- Good understanding of statistical methods for process analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
