Industrial Engineer - Logistics Optimization

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive Industrial Engineer with a specialization in Logistics Optimization to join their team in Bristol , operating on a hybrid basis. This role is key to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our client's supply chain and logistics operations. You will analyze current logistics processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement innovative solutions to optimize transportation, warehousing, and inventory management. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current logistics operations, including transportation routes, warehouse layouts, and inventory management systems.
• Design and implement optimized logistics processes and workflows to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
• Utilize data analytics and simulation tools to model and evaluate different logistics scenarios.
• Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, operations) and external partners (carriers, 3PLs) to streamline logistics.
• Develop and maintain performance metrics for logistics operations and provide regular reports on efficiency and cost savings.
• Support the implementation of new logistics technologies and systems to enhance operational capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in industrial engineering or logistics, with a focus on optimization.
• Familiarity with logistics software (TMS, WMS) and data analysis tools.
• Understanding of Lean principles applied to logistics and supply chain.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities within a hybrid work environment in Bristol .
