About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive Industrial Engineer with expertise in Operations & Logistics to join their team in Plymouth, Devon . This role is integral to optimizing the flow of materials, improving warehouse efficiency, and streamlining supply chain operations. You will analyze existing logistics and operational processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement data-driven solutions to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall service levels. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and optimize warehouse layouts, material flow, and logistics operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop and implement process improvements for inventory management, order fulfillment, and transportation.
- Conduct time and motion studies, and utilize simulation tools to evaluate operational changes and their impact.
- Collaborate with supply chain, production, and distribution teams to ensure seamless integration of logistics strategies.
- Identify opportunities for automation and technology adoption within warehouse and logistics functions.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics and operations, reporting on performance and recommending improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial engineering with a strong focus on logistics and operations.
- Proven experience in analyzing and improving warehouse operations and supply chain processes.
- Knowledge of Lean principles and their application in logistics and operations.
- Proficiency in relevant software, including WMS, TMS, and process simulation tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
