About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive Industrial Engineer with a strong focus on plant operations to join their established facility in Wolverhampton . This role is central to optimizing production throughput, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring the smooth running of all manufacturing processes. You will work closely with plant managers, supervisors, and production staff to implement best practices, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity. This hybrid position offers a fantastic opportunity to apply your engineering expertise in a key industrial region of the West Midlands, contributing directly to the company's success.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current production workflows and identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reduction.
- Design and implement optimized manufacturing layouts and material flow systems.
- Lead and execute continuous improvement projects utilizing Lean principles and other methodologies.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Provide technical support and training to production personnel on new processes and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a strong emphasis on plant operations.
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing techniques, including value stream mapping and 5S.
- Experience with data analysis, performance tracking, and reporting tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good communication skills, enabling effective interaction with all levels of the organization.
