Our client is seeking a dedicated Industrial Engineer with a specialization in process optimization to join their team in Plymouth, Devon . You will work hands-on with production teams and management, utilizing analytical tools and methodologies to design and implement practical, impactful solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing production processes, identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement detailed process improvement plans, including layout modifications and workflow streamlining.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to measure performance and support data-driven decisions.
- Design and optimize material flow and logistics within the facility.
- Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practice guidelines.
- Collaborate with quality assurance and production teams to ensure adherence to standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a strong focus on process optimization.
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., 5S, Value Stream Mapping).
- Experience with process simulation and CAD software is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid setting.
