About the Role
Our client is seeking a results-oriented Industrial Engineer with a focus on process optimization to join their team in Edinburgh . This role is integral to enhancing the efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of our industrial processes. You will be responsible for analyzing current operations, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive significant enhancements. The position requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical prowess, and strong collaborative skills to work effectively with production and management teams. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing manufacturing and operational processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Design, develop, and implement process improvements utilizing lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Conduct time studies, workflow analyses, and cost-benefit analyses for proposed changes.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption of process changes.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality, and cost in Edinburgh .
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial engineering role with a focus on process optimization.
- Demonstrated experience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred).
- Proficiency in process mapping tools and statistical analysis software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a systematic approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and drive change.
