About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Industrial Engineer with a specialization in process optimization to join their team in Wolverhampton . This role is central to identifying and implementing improvements in manufacturing and operational processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase throughput. You will work closely with production and engineering teams to analyze workflows, develop solutions, and ensure successful implementation of best practices. The successful candidate will be passionate about continuous improvement and thrive in a hands-on, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current manufacturing and operational processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools to develop and implement effective process optimization strategies.
- Design and document new standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure consistency and quality.
- Collaborate with production supervisors and operators to gather feedback and implement practical solutions on the shop floor.
- Conduct time studies, capacity planning, and resource utilization analyses to improve output.
- Monitor the performance of implemented changes and make adjustments as necessary to sustain improvements in Wolverhampton .
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial engineering role focused on process optimization.
- Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) and basic Six Sigma concepts.
- Proficiency in process mapping software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite .
- Strong observational and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
