About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Industrial Engineer to focus on process optimization within their bustling operations in Coventry . You will be a key member of the operations team, responsible for driving efficiency improvements, reducing waste, and enhancing overall productivity across manufacturing and logistics functions. This role involves a blend of on-site analysis and strategic planning, contributing directly to the company's competitive edge through innovative operational strategies. You will collaborate closely with production managers, quality control, and supply chain personnel to implement sustainable improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze production processes, identifying inefficiencies and recommending practical solutions for improvement.
- Implement lean manufacturing techniques such as 5S, Kanban, and Value Stream Mapping.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality.
- Conduct time and motion studies to optimize workflows and resource allocation.
- Support the design and layout of new production lines or facility modifications.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, cost, and quality, reporting on trends and progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
- 2-4 years of experience in an industrial engineering role, with a focus on process improvement.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and tools.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for working with diverse operational teams.
